A passed file check confirms encoding, checksum parsing and a token-level round trip. Always test the program with known values on the physical model before classroom or assessment use.

Download the correct format

Use .8xp for TI-84 Plus/CE and .8xp2 for TI-84 Evo.

Connect by USB

Open TI Connect CE for a Plus/CE, or TI Connect Evo for an Evo.

Send the downloaded file

Choose the software’s Send to Calculator action and select the downloaded program.

Run and test

Open PRGM, select the program and test it with inputs whose answers you know.

Real calculator files

The Studio creates tokenized calculator containers—not renamed text files—with the appropriate CE or Evo structure and checksum.

Convert older programs

Import a CE .8xp, inspect its readable source, check Evo compatibility and generate a new .8xp2 when conversion succeeds.

Independent verification

Each prepared download is loaded back into the file engine and compared at the token-data level before the download button is enabled.
